Double Page Spread

here is my double page spread Some background info... This structure of the articles are inspired by a teen vogue interview I have analysed in a previous blog post. This was to allow me to include multiple opinions and views from my different cast members. The overall formatting of the page was inspired by an article from the website 'magazinedesign' I read which talked about the do's and don'ts of magazine article formatting I didn't replicate it fully because I thought the format was a bit boring, therefore I moved the placement of the images on the second page in order to hold the readers interest.

Magazine Double Page Spread Idea

For my double page spread I have taken inspiration from this Teen Vogue article which interviews Yara Shahidi (18) and Rowan Blanchard (16). While I am reading the interview online, the two actresses also had their very own cover and pages within the magazine at that time. In terms of structure, within this article they take turns asking the girls questions. They begin asking the girls on their view of each other and then throughout the article they then split the article into headers named; Y+R ON REPRESENTATION Y+R ON ACTIVISM Y+R ON THE FUTURE This gives each actress the chance to talk about their own shows while also revealing some personal information about themselves which will make cause the audience members to like them. I also like how the girls are not necessarily asked specific questions but rather are free to talk about a subject matter, this is more interesting than the conventional style. This way I pin point the objectives we were meant to cover

ITV and Channel 5 Show listings

Before choosing which channel to showcase my programme on, i decided to research some of the programmes already shown on the individual channels ITV and Channel 5. Firstly lets look into the institutional factors of each. ITV On their website they explain that ITV is an integrated producer broadcaster and the largest commercial television network in the UK. It is the home of popular television from the biggest entertainment events, to original drama, major sport, landmark factual series and independent news, but while it does this they show these range of shows on their six different channels being: ITV, ITVBe, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 and CITV. ITV is also the largest and most successful commercial production company in the UK and their investment in programming is primarily funded by television advertising revenue.
